Darren Drew: A Finalist for Deluxe Version Magazine's "Men of the Year"

This year, I had the incredible honor of being named one of Deluxe Version Magazine’s “Men of the Year.” Each year, the magazine selects 20 individuals from the worlds of business, fashion, art, and beyond—people they believe represent the most vibrant and impactful voices in their respective fields. To be included in such a diverse and dynamic group was humbling, to say the least.

The award isn’t just about professional accomplishments; it’s about the energy and style you bring to your work and how it connects with others. The team at Deluxe Version Magazine told me that my approach to creativity and storytelling perfectly aligned with their vision of celebrating those who inspire. For me, that’s one of the highest compliments I could receive.

The event itself was a celebration of excellence and individuality. Held in the electric city of Las Vegas, it brought together a truly eclectic mix of professionals—a plastic surgeon making waves in aesthetic medicine, a celebrated restaurateur, a designer redefining fashion, and even a top-tier influencer, among others. It was a night of networking, sharing ideas, and celebrating each other’s accomplishments.

One of the highlights? Sharing the “tie” for the top spot with Mark Wahlberg. Yes, the Mark Wahlberg. While he may be the more obvious choice for “Man of the Year,” I’m claiming my half of the crown. It’s a fun anecdote that speaks to the lighthearted yet impactful nature of the event—recognizing the hard work, creativity, and contributions of all the finalists.

Being named one of the “Men of the Year” by Deluxe Version Magazine isn’t just a personal milestone; it’s a reminder of why I do what I do. Whether through music, fashion, or culture, my goal has always been to create something meaningful that resonates with people. To see that effort recognized alongside such talented individuals is a moment I’ll always treasure.

Here’s to the connections, the stories, and the shared passion for making an impact. This award may celebrate a single year, but the inspiration and encouragement it provides will last far beyond that.
