Southern Hospitality Shines at the Dallas AICP Awards

The Dallas AICP Awards at the Perot Museum always deliver on more than just accolades—it’s a place where creativity, collaboration, and connection thrive. For me, it’s the mix of people that makes it special. You’ve got artists pushing boundaries, clients looking for fresh ideas, and an entire room buzzing with the energy of what’s next. It’s not just an event—it’s a meeting of minds.

The night kicked off at Meso Maya, where margaritas and inspiration flowed in equal measure. I caught up with familiar faces and met new ones, the kind of conversations that don’t just fill your contact list but spark real possibilities. Events like this aren’t just about networking—they’re about storytelling and vision-sharing, finding the overlap between artistry and ambition.

Big thanks to Brandon and the crew at Camp Lucky, a creative studio that brings post-production magic to life, from editing to visual effects and beyond. Their hospitality was top-notch, and they introduced me to some incredible folks from Austin and Dallas who reminded me why this community thrives: it’s built on collaboration and shared creative passion.

Of course, no trip to Dallas would be complete without a nod to its culinary scene. I leaned all the way into Texas vibes with a “Texas” omelette and tacos on Oak Lawn. You can’t argue with comfort food done right.

As I left the Perot Museum that night, I couldn’t help but feel energized. Events like this aren’t just about the work—it’s the people, the stories, and the possibilities they create together. It’s not just about the work—it’s about the people, the stories, and the spark of what’s possible. Until next time, Dallas! Save me a taco. Yeehaw!
